I'm running a local server to build my site, and for some reason I can't get my Portfolio grid to line up properly. All of my images are the same ratio, however one keeps coming out with the wrong dimensions and it is screwing up the entire page! Any thoughts?

I see what the culprit is.
EWWW Image Optimizer
I went and deleted the ones that are the wrong aspect ratio, and it now knocked the image off.
I would like to optimize my images for the site, but I can't have it creating images that are the wrong ratio!! Please advise.

False alarm. For some reason if with the plugin deactivated, when I upload a file, the theme makes a bunch of images out of the original image. Then it decides to use the one with the incorrect ratio even though I re-exported the original at 1024x576 to appease it.
This is really killing me.
Why wouldn't it automatically make all of the elements the same size?

To be clear, images that were previously in my Media library work fine, but when I upload anything new, it automatically creates this set of multi-resolutioned images and it decides to use the incorrectly ratio'd one when I try to set the featured image of a portfolio element.
Apologies for the inconvenience, we need to check the issue closely. Is there any possibility for you to upload your site to a test dev server so we can access and check the issue? I will also check this with our senior team member. We appreciate your patience on this.
I'll let you know once the site is up online. It will take a few days.
Can you please tell me what the ideal resolution for images should be? It seems you have most of the images at 1440x960 @72DPI on the test site. Should I follow that guide?
Also, I'm having trouble getting my shadowbox to function within the content box of my "Parralax Content with Image". Instead of opening in one like they do on my current site (http://dustinpearlman.com/gear/), they just navigate away from the page and go fullscreen. Is there a way to make this work with some code or a plugin? I tried installing the "Responsive Lightbox" plugin but it only worked if I had the image thumbnail in the content box. It wouldn't just do it with a hyperlink.
Yes, you can use images with same dimensions as demo images.
For the second issue yes you can use gallery or you will have to find third party plugin for this.
Is it not possible to use any of the lightboxes built into the theme?
Like could I modify this:
into displaying text and then only showing the image after it is clicked?
I couldn't include the full code because it automatically showed the image in this message. But I used the code generator in the Shortcode Options box.
You can try this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-colorbox/, it allows you to display popup from text. Let us know if that helps.
Do you know if it's possible to use that plug-in to launch a lightbox of a vimeo video from a button?
I'm having trouble with the coding. This is the framework:
<a class="button" style="transition: none;" href="/gear/" rel="no referrer no referrer">Click Here</a>
Also, it seems as though the GP Theme is doing something strange to my Media uploads. At the advice of the Wordpress.org support forum, I switched back to my old theme (Essenza) and uploaded the file that was giving me issues. Once it was uploaded in my contents folder, I was able to switch back to GP and have it work without that justification issue. Can you explain why this could be happening? My old theme respected the aspect ratio of my images and didn't make bad crops like GP.
Thanks for writing backIf you have used shortcode generator then lightbox can be activated from Image only
Using that plugin yes, you can pop up the lightbox from text and then we will provide you custom CSS to make that text look like button. Please share page exact URL where you are trying this and also provide WP admin login credentials in private message.
For image issue, could you please regenerate thumbnails using this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/ and let us know if that helps.
